Mark is a journalist and travel writer based in Cannes on the Côte d’Azur. Before moving to the South of France he worked in London as a reporter, diarist, columnist and leader writer for titles as varied as The Times and The Sun.

Mark has also written several sporting guide books and writes in both English and French.

He was the East Europe editor for the Association of European Journalist’s website and occasional commentator for the French political magazine, Causeur.

He writes regularly for the Daily Mail’s travel pages and for The Herald, Scotland’s last great broadsheet title. He also writes occasionally about French culture for Politico.

Mark has also written for Newsweek, The Guardian, The Observer, Daily & Sunday Telegraph, FT and was a senior editor at the Sunday Express.

He is also a student at the Cannes conservatoire and agent to his piano teacher, the renowned concert pianist David Levy.
